Positive aspects of school
"The lessons are very dynamic and varied. Many methods are used: listening comprehension, reading comprehension, conversation, games, films, etc. The teachers are very committed and competent. Another positive aspect is that the teachers alternate, so that you can learn with different teaching methods. In the afternoons, activities are suggested that you can do voluntarily, such as visiting museums, exploring the city or going on excursions. This is a good opportunity to get in touch with other learners. Overall, I rate my experience as very good. The learning level is also determined in advance using an online questionnaire. Afterwards, you have a conversation with a teacher."
Negative aspects
"If not enough students show up, you will have fewer lessons than you booked and the money will not be refunded. However, this is already stated on the website, and if you read the rules thoroughly, you will know that this is how it works."

"Very nice and good teachers, the lessons are fun."
City/place
"Krakow is a very beautiful and cultural city. There is no shortage of greenery: parks, bathing lakes, sunbathing lawns and forests. If you want to get away from the crowds, you have plenty of options. Public transport runs regularly and several times an hour to any location. There are many museums to visit and outdoor activities. The Chopin concerts in the churches are also recommended."

"Unfortunately, there weren't that many people in my group, which is why instead of the 20 hours I had booked, we only had 15 hours per week. The price remained the same."
Accommodation
"Very conveniently located, about a 3-minute walk from the school. Quiet location, modern with washing machine. Rooms are cleaned weekly. It is fully equipped and you don't need to bring anything extra."

Positive aspects of school
"The teachers are super nice. The level was well organised for me. I didn't feel overwhelmed or underchallenged. The location was very practical. You could reach the city centre in about 10 minutes by tram and supermarkets, pharmacies and much more were just a few minutes' walk away. My room was a 3-minute walk from the school, which was very convenient. The lessons included many activities and dialogues. There was listening comprehension, reading exercises and everyday conversations. What I liked was that everything was taught in Polish. This meant you could quickly get used to the language."

"I thought the course was great and very informative. It was just a shame that only 3 instead of 4 group lessons were offered per day due to the small number of participants."
Accommodation
"Perhaps the school could equip the apartment on Rydla Street a little better. For example, with cloth tea towels instead of the kitchen roll, which sticks to the crockery. In addition, not every traveller thinks about the kitchen equipment when they come for a short time. So perhaps a wooden cooking spoon and a bit more cutlery could be added to the equipment. I would also recommend that the school give the apartment a thorough clean, as there were a lot of silverfish in the house, including in the bed. I discovered a nest in the chest of drawers and quickly removed it. My chest of drawers also had 2 missing handles and the chair was very wobbly, so maybe tighten the screws. Apart from that, I thought the flat was very nice and I really enjoyed my time there. It was convenient that there were so many shops and supermarkets nearby."

"I was in 1.2. Unfortunately, lesson 12 in the book only came on the last day of book 1. The vocabulary and expressions for asking for directions would have been useful at the beginning!"
Accommodation
"I couldn't open the blinds in the room. It was very bright in the room in the morning. In the bathroom I missed hooks or a way to put clothes and towel down while I was in the shower. I missed a mat in front of the shower so that you could stand up when coming out of the shower and not have to stand on the floor. The light switches are not well positioned. I had to walk up in the dark at night to avoid having to go back to switch off the light, until I got to the second last floor where you could switch off the light for the previous floor. There was no organic waste bin in the kitchen when I arrived."

Positive aspects of school
"Well organised, located on a tram line, pleasant premises and a welcome coffee corner. The groups should be a little more homogeneous."
Negative aspects
"The level groups aren't always homogeneous, and I think it's a shame that the extra private lessons are expensive, especially when you've signed up for 2 weeks. It would be nice if they could be increased from 45 minutes to an hour.
Marcin is very nice, but he's not very good at organising things: for example, for Auchwitz and the Schindler museum, despite several requests, we ended up managing on our own..."

City/place
"It's a very beautiful city, very pleasant."
Accommodation
"Correct accommodation but it's a flat for 4 and it's impossible to have a meal for 4 as the kitchen was so cramped, and there is no other communal space, in fact there are only 2 seats in the dining area.
We appreciated having a washing machine but a second small clothes line was missing (and for hanging towels).
Despite several requests, we did not get a cloth to wipe the dishes.
Our room had access to a small garden and with the good weather it was great."

"Kraków is beautiful and always worth a visit. Our next vacation will take us to Kraków."

"The booked intensive lessons were intensive and yet very interesting and instructive. The afternoon program was tailored to the very young participants and sometimes offered very late or too quickly after class. The Saturday event was canceled completely, so I went to it personally on my own. But as written there were more young participants and they had their program. Otherwise everything is very easy and calls for repetition. But a very big negative point for me personally was that there was a lot of English spoken. Even with the afternoon program. Explanations of the teachers, in English. Greeting in restaurants and shops, English. So I not only learned Polish, but also caught a little bit of English. But by and large, the language trip was worth it and you can recommend it with a clear conscience. I will definitely be back in 2 years and then with the desire to stay with the same host family again."

"Unfortunately I have to be honest here. There were two issues that gave me cause for concern. The first is that I was messed about with my choice of accommodation. I originally selected dates in July with the option for private accommodation organised by the school. I was told several days later that this option was no longer available on my chosen dates so I changed my dates accordingly and proceeded to book flights. Less than two weeks before the course commenced I was told that the accommodation was actually not available for my chosen dates after all and was offered a room with a family which I point blank refused. I haven't lived with my own family in sixteen years and definitely didn't want to live with strangers for a week in their family home. Then suddenly they did find me a room in an apartment with other students on the course which turned out to be absolutely fantastic and in a great location. The other issue is that on the first day of the course we were informed that we would be having no lessons on Wednesday 15th August as this was a public holiday. As I only signed up to a week this meant that essentially 20% of my lesson time was lost. I enquired about this and asked if I could receive a partial refund of the course fee and they refused. At no point before the commencement of the course did anyone communicate to me that there would be no lessons on this day nor did I know it was a public holiday in Poland. This would make me think twice about going back to this school again."

"Constantly changing teachers is not a good thing. It is really bad when a beginner gets a teacher who only speaks Russian and Polish. Those lessons were kind of a waste.
The highly popular cultural program was sort of a mess. The program changed several times a day, so nobody really knew what was planned when and where.
The trip to the Waliszka Salt Mine was not offered at all.
Only the excursion into the mountains took place. Besides that, people would meet up in a pub.
Also, the description states that there are workshops to better understand the language. Apparently this was only available for those who hadn't booked additional private lessons.
The last day didn't go according to plan either. The day before, we learned that the school would close at 10:45 because of some repairs. Some students only found out on Friday that the school would close at 10:45. As a result, it wasn't possible to see the classmates anymore which I thought was a shame as I would have liked to say goodbye.
The private tuition then no longer took place, and there was no farewell party.
All the teachers were friendly. It is a shame that the teachers change indiscriminately and that no attention is paid to whether the language of instruction is a good fit. I was very lucky that I had a German-speaking teacher in the afternoon of the first week.
The school advertises that the price includes the daily cultural program. Unfortunately, it did not take place as advertised.
Fortunately, I didn't book the accommodation through the school. This gave me control over where I was staying."
