Sevilla is the kind of city that people imagine when they think of Spain, with all of its associated culture and traditions. It’s in the Andalusian capital that students can take part in HLI’s home tuition programme, which gives learners the chance to live and study with their teacher, and also reap all the benefits of immersing themselves in the local language and culture.

As somebody studying Spanish as their second language, it’s reasonable that you might want some company from people speaking your own language from time to time just to socialise. To this end, you will benefit from the considerable number of expats who are living in Sevilla - although if you want to socialise in Spanish with the locals, even better! Some of the features you can expect while exploring Sevilla include its Gothic cathedral, the Alcazar castle, and a mediaeval Jewish quarter. All of these curiosities are an excellent way to learn more about the city and complement your 20 lessons per week with your teacher.

HLI encourages all students and guests to communicate any issues with their home tuition programme to their Local Organiser staff working in Sevilla itself, who will take action to resolve any problems immediately.

The Intensive course offered by InTuition Languages is the most popular option among their language students, and at their Sevilla location, this is no different. Students take this programme due to its weekly schedule of 20 hours, which encourages significant improvements in a reasonably short period of time, without saturating learners excessively. Lessons will cover all major language skills related to Reading, Writing, Speaking and Listening.

One of this programme’s most attractive features is that your accommodation will be with an Spanish-speaking homestay family, which means that you can effectively move to Sevilla without the stress that would accompany looking for somewhere to live in normal circumstances. You’ll find an especially good opportunity for conversation in Spanish during your three daily meals, which your hosts will provide for you as part of the experience.
