The Semi-Intensive Spanish course follows the tried and tested model of working on the main pillars of language learning: grammar & vocabulary, speaking, listening, and writing.

Designed for university students, au-pairs, interns, etc. Students will attend 8 lessons of the Intensive 20 course. Students can choose which days they want to participate.

This is Don Quijote Academy’s main offering, providing learners with 20 lessons every week, each designed with the intention of getting students actively involved every step of the way. Living and studying in Barcelona will form an integral part of your Spanish immersion experience, and taking 20 hours of classes per week is a fantastic way of taking control of your Spanish language development while also leaving yourself free time.

The approach used in the classroom is geared towards communication skills, and for that reason, your teachers will encourage you to do a lot of speaking. This preference is supported by the course’s maximum class size of 12 participants, as it means you will find yourself in a situation where it’s easy to speak with your peers and teacher.

You will be placed in your Spanish level following an oral and written test that you will take the first day you arrive at the school.

Small group classes boast an average of 5 students and a maximum of 10.
This course is designed for students who want to begin communicating as quickly as possible and are eager to experience the culture of their chosen destination.
The school also coordinates activities and excursions during your free evenings and weekends.

By deciding to study Spanish on Study & Live in your Teacher's Home’s Barcelona home tuition programme, you can expect to immerse yourself in 15 one-to-one lessons per week, as well as communication opportunities with your teacher and their family outside of class hours. This course focuses on the skills of speaking, listening, reading and writing, whilst covering necessary grammar, vocabulary, pronunciation, idioms and colloquial language.

It provides practical training for students who need Spanish to work, study or travel and can provide preparation for Official exams.

Classes runs Monday to Friday:
Mornings from 09:40 to 11:20 or 11:40 to 13:20.

Evenings (Monday to Thursday) from 17:00 to 19:05.

This course is ideal for students who wish to gain a sound understanding of the language through a well-rounded course. Course tuition is structured as follows: 16 General language lessons, 4 project sessions, 4 special interest lessons and 2 lecture sessions each week. Course materials are not included in the price.
