British Accreditation Council (BAC) grants it's members a certification of excellence for their performance in further or higher education. Thorough and regular inspections ensure that the high standard awarded to these institutions is continually met. Membership is available for schools whose primary teaching is of English as a foreign language (EFL) or for those institutions offering courses of EFL.
| Requirements BAC member schools need to fulfill | BAC's accreditation schemes encircle a number of different types of education providers in the UK and overseas. The requirements that each provider must meet is as follows:
- each programme being taught must follow the framework as laid out by the board or association it is connected to;
- each member will have voluntarily requested the inspection of it's institution;
- must offer a high quality service to their students. |
| Complaint/arbitration procedure offered by BAC | To submit a complaint against a BAC-accredited provider, students will need to send all documentation to the BAC offices or via email to info@the-bac.org. Documentation submitted against the provider must include evidence of communications that the issue has not been resolved directly between the student and the provider. Any further documentation relating to the student's grievance, such as enrolment letters, payment receipts or visa letters, must be included in their submission. |
