"Great for learning new words and phrases and practising your English in a friendly atmosphere, interesting conversations and a quiet place. It was enough for my purposes, which was total immersion in the language."

"Lack of a systematic teaching programme and little grammar. The class I attended was not grouped by level of English and the flow of conversation was often interrupted by lower-level students who could not follow the lesson fluently."

"In my personal opinion, it is a very beautiful old city that can be visited in two days at the most. There are few activities in May-June.
There are plenty of pubs to drink in, but the food is not to my taste. It falls within the Anglo-Saxon norm: burgers, fish & chips, toast, etc. In fact, you meet a lot of overweight people on the street.
To eat well and healthy, you have to go to very expensive restaurants or cook yourself."

"The housemother was wonderful company, helpful, full of humour, and did everything she could to make my stay comfortable, clean and organised. Although she is not the best cook, when I asked her to cook my meals for me, she not only allowed me to use the kitchen freely but also did the shopping according to my favourite foods and tastes."

"I did not like a lot of things. The first was, after taking the test and being placed in a class appropriate to my level, the next day I found myself in a much lower class. I asked for an explanation and was told that the "advanced English" class they had abolished it due to lack of teachers and students so they had thought of putting me in the lower class by dedicating adequate teaching to me. So then it was repeated even after a week, probably the teachers were dividing up the students to make more money. In fact my English got much worse, I had to try to understand and be understood by beginners so only use simple sentences and words.
Second we had an Italian-English teacher and when she could she would try to speak to us in Italian to practice her of the language. Third just this teacher lacked teaching method, the hour passed with silly games just to learn how to ask the first questions. The second teacher was excellent."

"Sara is a wonderful host in everything. Very discreet and sociable. I put a down grade on the food because it was typical Scottish, I must say that at least three times she made us pasta. Then she met all our needs. With school she tried to help me, but it seems she unnerved the teachers more."

"There were no criteria for the placement of students in the different classrooms (for example: language level, nationality -many or too many Spanish students in the same classroom-). Diverse methodologies among the different teachers.
Changes of teachers without any explanation and even on the same day, that is, different teachers on the same morning.
Students who spoke too much in their mother tongue in class, even bothering the rest of their classmates and not attracting their attention."

"I spent 3 months there and I have to say the whole course was a great experience. During the high season (summer) the organization failed a little bit, and classrooms were so small for so many people, but it lasted just a couple of weeks, the rest of the time was perfect. A very friendly atmosphere, great teachers, and great people heading the school."

"Study room without a possibility to air it (impossible to open the windows and there is no air-con). In the summer, even when it's cloudy, it's unbearable.
On top of that there was always a large group of students just on the other side of the door by the wall who talked very loudly. It does not help to think or to focus on studying.
Apart from that, it would be much better if there weren't such big age differences in the same student group (between 12 and 49 y.o.) it would be better for adults to have a separate group. But the latter is not so important."

"It was my 4th English course in the UK. At last this is my best .
Way of teaching: competent, trustworthy and friendly; in only a week I improved my English a lot. They have private lessons and the teachers try to find the best way to help you specifically. I was there during eastern holidays and it's the best period if you prefer to meet adult people from all the world. The school is in an old building, very nice, they have a kitchen where you could have break and lunch and a small garden too."

"The teachers and the other employees were super nice and taking the coures was a lot of fun. Since it was January, there was, unfortunately, no leisure program, but there was a good network among the students. The chairs with a foldable writing surface should be replaced; they are too small, grubby and the writing surfaces are no longer even. I missed a canteen, but the school size probably doesn't allow it. Overall, however, recommendable and if I manage, I'll be happy to become a repeat offender."

"The value for money of the school is, to be honest, terrible. I was there for a month, they tell you that they do an evaluation the first day and that is a lie, they ask you 4 oral questions and from there, they direct you to some classes where there are people of all levels, the teachers change a lot and they don't even coordinate their teaching because they repeat or skip lessons. Compared to other academies in the area, they are very similar in terms of how bad they are; and I won't even mention the facilities of the academy ..."

The quality of teaching / academic success - I don’t know how to teach in other schools, so the score is lower. In general, there are no complaints about the quality of training. Attentive teachers, not boring, every day a new topic.
Tip: for a short period (up to 3 weeks) do not drive with a level below pree-Int, Pull up your level or take from 4 weeks. And it’s better to take intensive courses, it’s more profitable and more useful.
