What our students said about Berlin
Berlin is a huge and very interesting town to enjoy the whole day and night. Good gastronomy, efficient public transportation, safe, with polite people. I was particularly focused in its history and culture, that's why I spent most of my free time visiting museums and historical buildings and places. Berlin is fantastic as a capital of a great country.
I was absolutely in love with the city. There is always so much to do related to culture, music and art! The nightlife was amazing as well. They were best the nights of my life. If you are looking for a place with cultural background but also fun activities, Berlin is the place!
Loved Berlin. Weather was crazy but oh well. Amazing city, loads to do, very friendly. Subway's and transport in general isn't very friendly in terms of understanding what ticket you need to buy but in general great experience.
Fascinating. Easy to get about. Civilised cyclists. Interesting architecture. Trees, birds and clean fresh air. Visible marks and monuments of human greatness and human horror with Museums and Monuments to explain it all.
Berlin is a wonderful city full of interesting things to do. If you love culture, politics and history-- Berlin is definitely the place to explore. It is super safe and the locals are very friendly :)
Berlin is a great city with a rich history, great museums, and historical sites. It also offers great places for food and entertainment.
The city is full of immigrants, international students, and tourists. You might experience less German culture and traditions.
Berlin is a great city. I feel calm in it like in St. Petersburg) Everyone will find something of their own in this city)
Berlin is a "must" city to visit and to spend time in and around it
Just great!! Easy orientation, great helpful people, cosmopolitan!

GLS also has a studio flat as an option, which is 5 minutes away from the school, but is also more expensive of course. Is that maybe an idea?
You can see the schools on the map on our website. ”

GLS - German Language School is a good choice because there is a good mix of nationalities from all over the world.”

Could you please recommend schools where such courses are held?

How long does it take to go from an A1 level to a B2 in German?
My current German level is A1 and I would like to reach the B1 level before going to University. Can I book a course and start any Monday?
I am looking for a German language course for our daughter, who will be 17 years old, who will be taking a gap year. I also want to know what the group composition is in terms of age. I've clicked on campus now, but maybe that's not a good idea? And can you do other hobbies in addition to the language to learn the language in a playful way?
The most enjoyed German course is the intensive 20 lessons per week course. In this type of course she has lessons from Monday to Friday, usually in the mornings between 09:00-13:00.
Each school has a different average age. We can look at this per school. For example, GLS is a very good option (average age between 19-24 years old) and they also have the campus accommodation.
Campus accommodation is nice for younger students as it is usually close to school (whether or not next to the school) and with other students from the school, so it'll be fun quickly!
In Berlin, combination courses are also offered with horse riding and tennis, unfortunately not with dance. However, I can imagine that if she has found a good school, they will certainly have recommendations for a possible dance course at another organisation.
I also recommend a host family if you want to experience a complete immersion in the country and its culture. If you book including half board or full board, you can even practice your language at the table with the host family.”
