Information about El Médano (Tenerife)
Why El Médano (Tenerife)? The magical island of Tenerife is home to the quaint little town of El Médano. The town is in the south of the island and just a 10 minute drive from the main southern airport. The first stop must be to it's truly spectacular beach, where views of the sun setting over the majestic Montaña Roja must not be missed. The surf is perfect for all water sport activities, and there is a section with calmer, more family friendly wave movement. El Medano moves at a casual pace, with a chilled, almost hippy beach vibe mixed with seafront restaurants and cobbled streets.
