ASILS (The Association of Schools of Italian as a Second Language)

Members of the ASILS must adhere to the following requirements in order to be considered:

- the establishment must reside in Italy or where Italian is the primary language;

- the school must have been operating for a minimum of two years and open for 9 months of the year. For seasonal schools, the school must be open for a minimum of 4 months per year and have been functioning as an organisation for 4+ years;

- Italian courses must make up 75% of the education offered at the school.

Students wishing to lodge an official complaint against a member of A.S.I.L.S can do so by contacting the General Secretary of A.S.I.L.S. From here, the association will follow their complaint procedure and come to a suitable conclusion based on the evidence obtained from the investigation.
