Liguria wraps around the shoreline of the Ligurian Sea, from La Spezia all the way to the border with France. Cinque Terre National Park is found in La Spezia and the Sentiero Azzurro trail connects five small towns which form the Cinque Terre. Genoa is the largest city of Liguria as well as the region's capital. The Royal Palace Museum, Cattedrale di San Lorenzo and Aquarium of Genoa are the main attractions of this port city. The small island of Palmaria, just off the coast of La Spezia, has interesting caves to explore and old military landmarks.

- What is the best time to visit Cinque Terre?“October is the best time to visit the area. Summer lasts a very long time, and it is still very warm in October, but there are far fewer tourists than in September (not to mention the summer months).
