What our students said about Trieste

It is a great city. People are very friendly and there are many points of interest. In addition, it is very safe and the prices are acceptable. The most beautiful thing about the city, apart from the people, are the landscapes; the Adriatic Sea is extremely beautiful.

5.0Ana Lilia Mexico

Pleasant atmosphere, we didn't take part in the nightlife, we didn't use public transport. Car parking relatively expensive. The privately rented flat had its own car parking space. If staying in summer, a sandy beach would be nice.

4.0Magdalene Elisabeth Germany

I enjoy Trieste time and time again. I've been there about twice every time since 2018. However, because there are so many cruise ships docking now, the city is quite crowded and noisy during this time.

5.0Elisabeth Austria

You can feel the historical past of the Austrian monarchy (buildings and squares), and at the same time life in the city simply oozes southern flair. I liked the city very much and felt very at home.

5.0ELFRIEDE Austria

Didn't visit too many things but just enjoyed walking around the city and to the water. The history of the city is interesting and there are many parks and opportunities for hiking.

5.0Bent Denmark

I didn't use public transport as everything was within walking distance for us (10-20 minutes). There are lots of good bars and restaurants. I can't judge the later nightlife.

5.0Martin Germany

Should remain an insider tip, as not yet overcrowded, still "normal" prices for meals, entrance fees etc.; public transport with excellent app for navigation and timetable.

5.0Georgi Germany

Trieste is a very beautiful, liveable city. Colourful and lively. Only the lack of greenery in the city and the large amounts of dog faeces everywhere deducted points.

4.0Ulrike Germany

Very liveable and worth experiencing city, beautiful surroundings, especially as Slovenia, Ljubljana, Muggia, Grotta Gigante... and Venice are not so far away.

5.0Michael Germany

I can't really rate the nightlife and public transport. Trieste is now one of my favourite cities. I was all by myself and I felt so safe.

5.0Bettina Austria

Most recent student reviews of language schools in Trieste

Piccola Università Italiana - Le Venezie

Very good teaching staff. Good size of our classes (5-6 students). A lot of reference to current life in Italy and attention to the personality of each student. I benefited a lot from the lessons thanks to the tutoring sessions. Good structure of the subject matter and good coordination between grammar and conversation lessons.

Piccola Università Italiana - Le Venezie

A young, dedicated team of teachers in a warm atmosphere and small groups. Grammar is taught in the first part and conversation in the second part, which I personally found very good.

Trieste Language School

There is a very pleasant, relaxed atmosphere at the school, the teachers are all extremely helpful and very competent in the lessons. Marina, who organises everything, speaks perfect German and you can turn to her with any questions. The afternoon excursions were great, sometimes to places that you wouldn't necessarily think of as a tourist. We asked for an osmiza in the first week and Marina had already organised a visit for the second week.
The classrooms are pleasant and I particularly appreciated the large table around which everyone sits and has enough space for all the documents. The large table is also very communicative.

Why Trieste? Trieste is the smallest province and the most northerly located harbour of Italy. It is idyllically placed on the slopes of a limestone plateau and you can still visualize the beauty the city must have had a century ago. You should not miss to visit the Cathedral of S. I would like to ask if it is possible to have space for the car and if it is possible to use the kitchen.
At the time of writing (2024) there is a car park, "Park San Giusto", which is only a 3-minute walk from the school. You can park your car there. The use of the kitchen is at the discretion of your host family. Contact us and we will be able to ask the school if there are any families available who would let you use their kitchen.

Can I pay in installments?
The payment is made in 2 stages:
1.- Prepayment. Due in the moment of registration. This payment is necessary so that we can send the booking to the school. Without this payment, the school cannot process the booking. If everything is okay, the school will send us the confirmation 1-2 business days later.

2.- Outstanding amount. This amount has to be paid to the school after the confirmation of the booking. Once this amount has been paid, the school can send the visa document if you require that.
