• As of the 1st of July 2021, the EU Digital COVID Certificate holders will be allowed to enter the country without being subject to the COVID-19 test and self-isolation requirements.
• Passengers traveling from San Marino and Vatican City are allowed to enter the country without restrictions.
• Travelling from Austria, Belgium, Bulgaria, Cyprus, Croatia, Denmark, Estonia, Finland, France, Germany, Greece, Ireland, Israel, Latvia, Lithuania, Luxembourg, Malta, the Netherlands, Poland, Portugal (including the Azores and Madeira), Czech Republic, Romania, Slovakia, Slovenia, Spain, Sweden, Hungary, Iceland, Norway, Liechtenstein, Switzerland, Andorra, and the Principality of Monaco is allowed without restrictions. All passengers arriving in Italy must present proof of a negative PCR test for COVID-19. The required test cannot be older than 48 hours prior to entry.
• Passengers traveling from Albania, Saudi Arabia, Armenia, Australia, Azerbaijan, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Brunei, Canada, United Arab Emirates, Japan, Jordan, Lebanon, Kosovo, Moldova, Montenegro, New Zealand, Qatar, United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland (including Gibraltar, the Isle of Man, Channel Islands and British bases on the island of Cyprus and excluding territories not belonging to the European continent), Republic of Korea, Republic of North Macedonia, Serbia, Singapore, United States of America, Ukraine, Taiwan, Hong Kong, and Macao Special Administrative Regions are allowed to enter the country without restrictions and must present proof of a negative PCR test for COVID-19. The required test cannot be older than 72 hours prior to entry.
• Passengers traveling from the United Kingdom and Northern Ireland must present proof of a negative PCR test for COVID-19. The required test cannot be older than 48 hours prior to entry.
• Italy has restricted the entry of all foreign nationals who have passed through or have been in Brazil, India, Bangladesh, and Sri Lanka.
• Hygiene measures: According to national laws and recommendations, all schools are subject to follow a protocol for cleaning and disinfection. Students have to maintain a distance of 1 metre in the classroom and school in general and they have to wash and disinfect their hands often and thoroughly; hand sanitizers are provided in all rooms and in the common areas. The use of masks is obligatory.
