Why Verona? Verona in Northern Italy is a a medieval old town built between the ...
meandering Adige River full of pretty piazzas and little lanes. It also boasts some fascinating bridges, countless fabulous churches and some very impressive art. At the centre is a remarkably well-preserved 1st-century Roman amphitheatre, where concerts and large-scale opera performances are held annually. It’s famous world-wide for being the setting of Shakespeare’s "Romeo and Juliet" and if you can brave the crowds you can check out the 14th-century residence with its tiny balcony overlooking a courtyard that is said to be “Juliet’s House." All of this medieval beauty coupled with some of the regions finest food and wine and the stunning Lake Garda only a short distance away, you're sure to enjoy your time spent here.

Nice little town and everything within walking distance. Interesting historical sites from Roman to Renaissance. School provided a tour which was very informative (local professor) and enlightening. And of course there's the Arena.

Verona suited me perfectly. There is lots of interesting history, plenty places to walk in nature, and no matter what time you're out and about, it feels completely safe. It is also aesthetically very pleasing.

It was a very small school which meant that I got to know practically everyone there last week. Also the maximum number in my class was 5 so lots of opportunities to speak etc.

I found the separation into two work units particularly good. Grammar and conversation, both were presented in a very varied way. Nice group of great teachers !!!
It would be nice if there was a cooking class too, but I was only there for a week.
