What our students said about Cefalù (Sicily)
I was pleasantly surprised at how safe, clean and organized this city is. It was easy to reach all the sights on foot. We only hired a bus once to visit the manna production in Castelbuono. The train connection from Palermo airport to Cefalù is highly recommended. The cathedral, the museum, the Lavatoio, the small restaurants with sea views and the cliff path to the new harbor seem particularly attractive to me.
Cefalù is a beautiful, relaxed coastal town with attractive buildings, an interesting history and a beautiful cathedral. It has good rail links to other Sicilian cities including Palermo (50 minutes). There are a lot of excellent bars and restaurants and the shops are full of alluring items, many produced locally, such as ceramics, olive oil and products made from pistachios.
Super beautiful old place with numerous sights. Great city beach. Car-free is great, but parking is very difficult and can be expensive if you drive your own car. Entrance to the Rocca must be paid each time. Long-term use would be better. Very touristy, especially on weekends. Probably too much in summer.
A lovely fishing village with a pretty sandy beach with a view to the old town. Interesting old streets with shops selling an array of local items. Plenty of restaurants offering very affordable delicious food and local wines.
A beautiful town with a fascinating history, excellent restaurants, sandy beaches and very kind and welcoming people. The Duomo is a beautiful Norman cathedral and we enjoyed the museum.
Cefalu was charming and relaxing. The cost of living was very reasonable for Europe, especially for a lovely beach town.
Perfect small Sicilian coastal town, with great historical heritage and the beautiful Madonie mountains just behind it.
For me personally, Cefalu is the most beautiful town in Sicily. I've been there many times and will always come back.
I highly recommend Cefalù in the off-season, but in peak season I would find the tourist presence overwhelming.
The town is small and charming. You can do everything on foot and enjoy the beach and the surrounding area.

Great informal feel about the school. All the staff were friendly and helpful. Quality of teaching was excellent - speaking Italian all the time was encouraged and the teacher spoke clearly and at a pace that suited the class, which was a group of 9 of different nationalities.
I would return.

The school is in a convenient location with bright classrooms and friendly staff. I improved my Italian by a variety of activities which really made learning fun. My teacher (Lisa) was positive, encouraging and inspiring and spoke very clear Italian (as did Simona when taking us on an excellent tour of Cefalù). I wish I had been able to attend for longer than a week and will definitely return.
I absolutely loved it.

Our teacher, Lisa, was excellent. I really liked her teaching style. She was clear and just the right speed when she was speaking. She didn't pull students up on every mistake, which definitely helped to build my confidence, but she would pick up and explain later. She illustrated points by googling and showing on the screen. The topics she gave us were interesting, like aspects of Italian culture, including film, environmentalism, and social media. We were divided into two teams to argue on opposing positions on a topic, which was fun and a very good way of learning. Plus, we had to produce a programme for an environmental event.
A wonderful learning experience.

I liked everything. I was very satisfied. The school is one of the smaller ones and acts as a family school. It is in a good location, accessible both to the beach and to the historic center.
Everything was organized quickly.
