What our students said about London
I think London has style, even as a woman I didn't feel unsafe alone at night. The quality of the musicals and theaters is extremely high and, in my opinion, unsurpassed. The engagement of the locals on boat tours (Regent's Canal, Thames) and in the Harry Potter Studios was high; the speakers were funny, motivating and welcoming. What I love about London is that even as a vegan, you can eat your way through all the cultures without any problems and at a reasonable price. I lived centrally and was able to walk around most of the city.
It rains a lot in London. The sun goes down early. It's 4 o'clock. Of course, it's winter. Prices were too high. Most of the meals were expensive and tasteless. Unless you go grocery shopping, you will encounter fish and chips and fast food. I tried other menus, but they were not good for being expensive and expensive. I couldn't shop freely because I couldn't do duty-free, and it was hard to get around a lot because the weather was bad. Subway is very crowded. There are many places without street lights
London is simply fascinating, insanely diverse mixed architecture, great food there is super much to see and experience. London is very expensive, but there are also many free activities and you can save money through meal deals or cooking yourself.
I love London. This is the fifth time I visit the city, diversity, (yes in winter I have not visited it I say this because of the weather), at the forefront of everything, I would have liked to come with 20 years and I'm sure I'm still living there.
London is diverse, lively, international and simply great. Many opportunities to experience culture, excursions, parks and beautiful areas. Large museums can be visited free of charge. Transport system very good, but more expensive than usual.
A diverse, exciting city, but very expensive. It's great that most of the museums are free (donation). I also liked the variety of food markets and opportunities to discover new things. London is also very green with its parks.
I'll be going back for a holiday and staying in a hotel. There are lots of things to see and do, and I discovered London, which is magnificent. After that it's expensive, so you have to have a budget. I would highly recommend
At all times you have to take care of your belongings, especially your cell phone. London is a very cosmopolitan city and you can get lost in its markets, streets filled with pubs... In general, there's a great atmosphere.
I loved to see the city, I enjoyed seeing and learning so much history of monarky, the royals, the fire in London, the way of living. I loved the landscape of the City, enjoyed the view from the Thames river, the parks

Information about London
London is known around the world as being an excellent place to learn English. Not only is the accent one of the clearest in the country but it is buzzing with activity twenty four seven. The nightlife is fantastic with world famous bands and DJs often playing in one of the many music venues around the city. During the day there are an endless array of restaurants, museums, shops, festivals and, of course, the great British pub for you to visit. You will never run out of things to do. It is a great place to learn all about the history and culture of England with sights such as the Tower of London, Buckingham Palace and Tower Bridge. There are excellent transport links within the city itself as well as to other cities further afield. It is a great base to explore all that England has to offer. As you can see, London has it all and more!
The reputation that learning English in London holds comes at a price, and that price is expensive. It is very pricey compared to other cities in the country. It is possible for you to find cheaper options but this does mean that you will be further out of the city or within the winter months. London is a fast paced city and often it can be difficult to connect with locals. Why not take up a hobby that you enjoy to break into a group of local friends.

Are transport costs in London the same for adults and juniors?
Adults:
Adults pay standard fares for public transport, which includes buses, the Tube, trains, trams, and the DLR (Docklands Light Railway). Fares may vary depending on the areas travelled through and the time of day (peak or off-peak).
Juniors:
Juniors (generally defined as young people under the age of 18) benefit from substantial discounts, or even free travel in certain cases:
Children under 11: Travel free on buses, trams and the metro if accompanied by a paying adult.
Young people aged 11 to 15: Can travel free on buses and trams with an Oyster photocard 11-15 or a Travelcard. They also benefit from reduced fares on the Underground, DLR, London Overground trains and certain National Rail services with an Oyster photocard.
Young people aged 16 to 17: With an Oyster photocard 16+, they benefit from reduced fares on all types of transport and can even get discounts on monthly or annual season tickets.”

I don't know if I can take out a subscription for the underground bus online in advance, or if I'll have to do it in person at a London station or underground station.
What do you recommend for a one-month subscription?
What do you recommend for a one-month subscription?
When it comes to choosing a monthly pass, it all depends on how often you use public transport in London. If you plan to use the bus and Tube regularly throughout the month, a monthly season ticket could be advantageous in terms of cost per journey. However, if your stay is shorter or you won't be using public transport every day, it may be cheaper to opt for individual tickets or prepaid cards such as the Oyster Card. Make sure you work out what best suits your specific needs for getting around London.”

It is good to know that classes on LSI's 40+ programme are still with mixed ages. You will be offered 40+ activities after classes during this programme.
Most schools in London prefer to categorise classes by language level rather than age. Did you already have a school in mind? If so, I can research for you what the average age is in the schools of your interest.
